AWI Webinar - Barber's pole worm

Event details

Following the drought, barber’s pole worm (BPW) has come out swinging on many properties, and the recent wet and warm conditions have led to a longer than usual BPW season, catching some woolgrowers out. This hasn’t been helped by drought restocking and trading, which has seen sheep moving into different regions bringing drench resistant worms into new areas.

This one-hour webinar is an opportunity to hear from three of Australia’s sheep worm experts, Dr Brown Besier, Dr Matt Playford and Ben Foster, about how to keep in front of BPW by minimising worm risk on your property and using a combination of effective worm controls.

If you’re concerned about BPW on your property, you can’t miss this information-packed webinar covering:
- Regional distribution of BPW
- Climate and seasonal influences on BPW
- Drench resistance – what is the current situation?
- The 5 points of an integrated pest management (IPM) plan
- Tools and information – WEC tests, paddock management, flock management and more
- Using drenches and Barbervax® to their best effect
- What can you do over winter to minimise your BPW risk when it starts to warm up again?
- Where to from here?

Can’t make it this time? Don’t worry, simply by registering you will be sent a recording of the webinar that you can watch later.
