Over the past 18 months, shearing contractor Hilton Barrett, with the support of AWI, has been through a rigorous process to create an innovative shearing shed design. Through extensive consultation with shearers, wool handlers, classers and woolgrowers the shed designing process addressed the below criteria and their relationships:
-Efficiency for workers and the flow of livestock
-Quality wool preparation
Having built a shearing shed based on this design, Hilton Barrett will be opening his shed doors to all those interested to see it. So, please join us at the Open Day to hear from and speak with those involved in the project and discuss the design and functionality.
10.00am doors will open - 2.00pm doors will close
Rotary Club of Dubbo will be providing food and refreshments which can be purchased on the day. DETAILED DIRECTIONS to the Shed are on Field Day Flier - please refer to this.
